Dr Behnaz

GENERAL PRACTITIONER

Dr Behnaz is a dedicated medical practitioner with broad experience in both hospital and community-based medicine. She graduated from medical school in 2014 and, after graduation, completed four years of specialist hospital training in Iran, with a focus on infectious diseases and adult medicine. After relocating to Australia, Dr Behnaz commenced her clinical career at Gold Coast University Hospital, working as a General Medicine Medical Officer. Through this role, she gained experience in managing acute medical presentations and chronic disease within the Australian hospital system. She has since moved to Maryborough to continue her career as a General Practitioner, providing comprehensive and patient-centred care to individuals and families in the local community. Dr Behnaz’s clinical interests include adult internal medicine and the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic infectious diseases. She also has interest in paediatrics, women’s health and geriatrics. She values clear communication, careful listening, and evidence-based care, and aims to support patients at every stage of life. Outside of medicine, she is a wife and mother. She enjoys spending time with her family and values an active lifestyle, particularly exploring nature through kayaking, cycling, and hiking. Dr Behnaz warmly welcomes patients from the Maryborough community and looks forward to building long-term, trusted relationships in general practice.
